anyway. gonna have a small gathering of friends and relatives on 30 august. So sorry xiangwei, means i'm gonna steal some of our friends. for a while la. before they head over to urs. hahaha.

been looking at clubsnap forums for budget second hand camcorders.. didn't wanna keep renting for ever. It's getting a bit straineous on the wallets each time is like $100+ per cam per day. Managed to find a decent one for less than $2k. so shall take a look at it on monday..

AHM this sunday. book out tml after lunch. work over night tml till friday mornin. den go back there on sat night to work overnight again till AHM day. Ya. u guys run one morning. we got sai gang to do. hahaha. good liao la. at least dun have to run.

hmm.. i need to do up my website quickly man. too many ppl asking to view my works via internet. I can't be driving up to their places all the time. It's wasting time and petrol.. ok. gotta speak to zhihao soon. flash or normal text. I think flash looks better. more room for customisation i guess. i think. i dunno.

3. delivered dvds to CClia and jerry
4. borrowed freedom writers, WTC, and Cloverfield DVDs
5. skipped lunch
6. had a free double cheese burger @ 5
7. had fried prawn mee for dinner
8. Consult doctor...
9. watched 1/4 of freedom writers till the speakers blew
10. watched VV dramas on TV instead

3. cut up the fringe vids

Genieve recommended this brand.. her own one cost like S$2.5k so this is like nothing.. i wanted to get the $340 one.. but my dad didn't like the tone and the resonance.. ok he just didn't like the sound. i didn't like the tone and resonance.. or the lack of it. hahaha. yup.

anw lessons will begin on the 16th of august.. supposed to start next sat. but it's national day.. and ya.. blah blah.. 

anyway i caught The Dark Knight at engwah sunplaza just now. haha.. didn't actually catch him.. i went to see the movie. was a little bit upset in the beginning.. coz i bought tix online.. the movie was at 9.. but we reached at around 9+.. and the queue was like damn long. worse still.. they didn't have another counter solely for online booking ticket collectors.. so we had to stand in line. and i was like thinking.. i'm wasting my $10/tix like tt.. coz i'll have to wait like 30mins before my turn. so dice thought everyone else was buying tickets there for the later times.. so i decided to try my luck and ask the next guy before the box office whether he mind if i just collected my tickets coz i was like 10mins late for my movie alr.. he was nice and all and let me cut the queue. TO MY HORROR.. some idiots at the back of the queue started shouting and cursing me.. i remember a few lines most vividly "halo mister.. we also collecting tickets wad" , "my show also starts at 9+" and "what's the queue for mister?".. yah. so i just turned got the tix and tried to get out of there and into the cinema asap.. didn't even want to get the popcorn alr.. 

blame engwah for not having another counter.. i'm just functioning as i would at cathay and GV where the online tix bookers should get priority.. and at a swipe of a shiny card we should get our tickets in less than a min. well.. i got mine in about a minute.. but it required a booking number, my credit card and a shower of insults. oh well. i'm never going back there again on a weekend.. ironically.. this place usually has the least movie-goers.. today was a real exception i guess.. but i guess the directors of Engwah can expect a complain letter coming in very very soon.. didn't really get to enjoy the rest of the movie.. but it all got better towards the end. The joker was well played i can say.. two-faced wasn't really villian-y enough. and i can't stand batman's low rough voice.. sounds like he got a frog stuck in his throat and he has trouble controlling his breathing and spit. hahaha

anyway.. back to normal life after sending dice home..

It will be nice to play in a complete band that completes songs and practices their parts each time they play. i'm kind of pissed off already bout how this current band is progressing. firstly. No singer. I've been their singer for the past dunno how long. 2ndly , never practice parts. Never practice how to audition singer? own parts already cannot settle wanna 'judge' others ability?? haiz.. told onion today already. Let's settle with a singer within the next 2 to 3 practices. if by those time we still can't get our parts rite. dun wanna learn parts and everything. den can forget about it alr. Michael asked me to play with his band this weekend. i'm tempted. but i dun think i can do it la. but den maybe i will. change is good yea?

bloody hell. It feels like the dentist injected the anaesthetic into the wrong part of the gum! hurt like hell when he was like pulling the bloody thing out. that's not the worse part. He didn't give me an MC at all. and now my whole left cheek feels numb, I can't eat, I can't do anything, all the nonsense thing. gonna go to my own doctor already. Now I'm feeling a bit of headache and the hole is still bleeding. pffft.. and bcoz its just an extraction only $8 is subsidised by SAF. and i have to fork out the other $32.. wad the hell.

anyway. booked my other surgery appt on 11th august. 2pm.. got a bbq on 10th august so ya.. following that another 5 day MC.. hahaha.

sleep is a good thing. unless it makes u late.

It's the first time i'm eating potato salad with cucumbers.. chien brought them from home. haha. not bad la. but still the kartoffel salat in frankfurt still the best.

ok. Review on today's shoot. Tiring. Not much sense of satisfaction. Presence not felt. they dun seem thankful for my discount or what i am doing. She has no idea wad is happening and wad she is signing. I'm sure. all that for a fee without much profit. overheads too high mindice says.. think next time i MUST deal DIRECTLY with the customer. cannot go through middle-man.. or in this case middle-woman. the information gets disseminated wrongly and creates mis-communication. 

But i'm very thankful for dice for helping me promote my stuff while i'm busy doing my work. Really like my assistant sial. so cool to have her around. esp when i have trouble with the mandarin and dialects.. think all the trouble started coz everything is done in mandarin and i never meet the Karaoke Teacher directly la.. pffft..

Anw, michellle from my brother's church agreed to jam with us this thursday. luckily Friday got Medical appointment.. and zhihao's birthday.. haha. damn it man all my weekends are so packed with either birthdays or video work this year.. 

I'm damn tired now. going to rest a while..

Feel cheated by the camp.. supposed to have off this monday ma.. why got off become no off. haiz. lucky i tuesday got appointment to take out stitches. and friday got NSC appt. thurs nite intend to jam and I only intend to book in in the morning on Monday. 

Ok btw. I'm now totally convinced that no1 reads my blog. my hit counter just stays stagnant daily. if not it'll be a 1-2 number jump max.. haiz. oh well.

anyway my bank acct almost empty alr. spent some money today.. think it was worth it. well spent money:

so that's why i'm so broke. oh well. will slowly get the cash back. all these are little investments for the long run so i don't mind. at least i don't spend useless money on like branded clothing and accessories like some ppl do... yea?

Went to Mike's Facebook to check out his vids on us at gashaus. It was definitely more in-tune and better.. hanyuan stole the entire show with his trumpet. But sad to say i still think ellse is a little off key a lot of times. i think the moment she can't hear herself that's it la. haha. anw, Michelle from my brother's church gonna jam with us this week.. hopefully this time a singer turns up during our Jam sessions. Too much bad luck with singers alr.Mike even suggested i sing for us. haha.. seriously i won't mind. But dun think the others like my singing la. rite? haha. the truth hurts. hell i sing better than 80% of the singers hanyuan introduced to us.. the i don't wanna miss a thing guy is the one i remember the most. hahaha..

NDC pain killers are useless

the prescibed pain killers sucks! after 2 hours the pain is still there. still the old panadol works best.. haha. 

oh crap. the pain.

OK.. the op was a piece of cake. no pain at all. just a lot of weird drilling and cracking sounds. eyes were covered so it felt a little weird. but the doc gave me enough anaesthetic to keep me from screaming in pain while he cracked that tooth into 4 main parts and dug it out from that hole. Still bleeding now. after like 3 hours later.. 

here's some evidence that i got that tooth out. hahaha

pain killer is useless.. the pain is still killing me. think i should go distract myself with some work. that way i dun get hungry so easily also. oh god. lucky i only extracted 1 tooth today. imagine if it were 2. The pain. omg. think my next extraction should be after my birthday or something. haha.

durian durian

Tonight was durian night. haha. wadeva you'd like to call it. parents intended to eat durians only for dinner. haha. dice and me thought it was a little weird so we ran over to the other side of the road to get claypot liver first.. yup. DEN we had our durians. not bad i would say... that place along kovan road opposite that mee rubus, the power mee rubus that i love so much. yea. later came back home and dice helped me out with my business's receipts and labels.. designs and everything ofcoz done by me la.. she was there just to give erm.. constructive feedback. needed an auntie's point of view. and since she watches serial asian soap operas just like aunties do.. she's the closest i've got with a good view point. hahaha. so anyway finalised the 2 designs for the dvd labels and also got the receipts printed out. 

earlier today... nothing much. was editing the disclaimer that i drafted and my brother professionally edited. now it sounds so much more law-like and cool. feel more protected now. haha.. oh met up with haz to discuss the proceedings of his sister's wedding.. sounds damn glam and costly. sounds interesting too... cool sial. palace and museum for wedding. 

last nite: made our own creamy version of marinara pasta. 

Ingredients were: 

spaghetti pasta

onions

garlic

hua tiao jiu (in replacement for white wine.. haha.)

minced chicken meat

prawns

mussels

crabstick

and we cheated a little with alfredo cheese and cream sauce..

tasted good. but the surprise came when i realised the flavours all come from the prawns.. the prawny, seafoody taste comes from steaming the prawns, crabstick, mussels together with the huatiaojiu.. hmm. shall try it once more next time with tomato based gravy this time. Had loads of fun cooking with dice. once again ofcoz. hahaha.

ok shall stop here. it's late le. just finished helping dice with the organic chem diagram cards she needs for her lessons at northbrooks. tired le. hahaha. good bye!

for 2 years. i wondered why we didn't get through. did we suck? were we dat bad? is it our playin? and den i realised.. the singer. omg. check this out. 

Violin

Did i mention i'm gonna take up violin lessons soon? went to Crestar to enquire today. perhaps i should get a private teacher.. prob dice's music teacher ba. confirm can trust de. yup. inspired by Munich & Vienna. 

One of those off days..

You can say today is sorta like housekeeping for me and my minidv tapes.. went through the whole library and label-ed and relabel-ed some stuffs.. had to play through all the tapes to make sure they weren't spoilt and they were named correctly.. manage to find bout 10-12 tapes that i can re use.. yeah. save money. 

I realised i haven't distributed the dvds for de avaganda percussian 2.. the sp band percussion concert back in 2005 i think.. oh man. that's like 3 years ago.. i think it's becoz I dun hav any of their contacts.. or i only have a few.. who have not replied.. hmm.. maybe outdated. hopefully they come and collect their dvds soon.. if anyone of u are reading this.. pls pass the msg on..

well watching thru all the tapes i managed to find another one of our treasures.. the Singapore Battle of the band tape that the denvil back then participated in.. i realised.. well erm. we sounded quite good.. got traits of a good band. good music. good sound. timo was a little rushed with his solo but it was still erm.. smokable. hanyuan's missing solo was  disappointing and anti-climax.. imagine 64 bars of just rhythm and drums.. i mean those 64 bars were damn solid.. but it sounds weird and empty without that guitar solo.. hahaha. trust the delay pedals to run out of battery. learnt our lesson well.. next time, use DC/AC adaptors.. i dun think i wanna comment much bout the singing. ok maybe just 3 words.. HORRIBLY OFF PITCH. 

i mean i thought we didn't get in becoz we weren't tight enough.. or bcoz of those little technical errors here and there. but after watching the vid today. i finally realised why we didn't get thru. oh manz. i'm really sorry to say this.. but it was really bad. oh well that was 2years ago.

to the rest of the band members.. Jam man. Jam.. and practice before that.

anyway.. Meeting up with the dmc peeps tml. yeah. finally. after sooo long. it's not where u go.. it's who turns up that counts. sadly haz is on duty tml... wonder who else will be coming. i dun think i have enuf chocs to go around.. oh yeah. saw the Lindt chocs at NTUC today.. selling at bout $4.20 a bar.. but only limited flavours.. i think that's the only difference la.. and the freshness also ofcoz.. was rather disappointed with the swensens icecream this afternoon. kept thinking of the cheap yet satisfying gelato back in europe.. and it cost onli Euro 80 cents for a huge scoop.. haiz. miss the weather, miss the food, most impt.. miss the life and relaxed mood with dice over there.. so nice to walk on the road at night.. shops closed.. but the air is nice and cool.. and then the smell of AUTHENTIC turkish kebabs just drift over.. 

talking bout kebabs. i tried a doner that dice's mum bought pack from pasar malam.. chicken doner. wah. no fight to the originals in europe man. the meat.. soggy. the vege.. stingy. and instead of yoghurt dressing it's the normal everyday mayonnaise.. what is this man. localisation? yeah i think so.. i prefer the original any day.. but den again, it's better than nothing.. 

oh. first time at a chinese HDB auction just now at yishun blk 451. noisy, crowded. food was so-so.. maybe it taste good at first coz I was rather hungry alr. dinner at 9+? ofcoz hungry la. at first i thought it was a good experience.. local, chinese, barbaric.. haha. but den it slowly became more irritating.. that guy on the mic. and the whistles.. and the shouting. barbaric? that's an understatement. dun think i ever wanna go to this kinda function again. i mean. unless i'm needed la. 

think i'll stop here today. can write for hours in the late hours of the night. wonder why.

dice is forcing me to blog. she;s sitting in my room on my comfortable chair, and im sitting on a Ikea stool next to her. so pathetic. anyway.. i'm supposed to blog when i get back from europe. but well, technical I'm back from europe. just not immediately. It's been about 2 weeks? Richtig la. schizel.. haha.

Apparently that word is the only kind of german vulgarity i've heard over there..  perhaps i just dun understand the rest.. hahaha. btw schizel means shit...

if u didn't know by now me and dice bought lots of chocolates and erm.. mugs or cups of sorts back from europe.. haha. almost one kind from each country.. and i got some euro related stuffs too.. bought my dad a beerstein.. from munich the home of beer.. haha.. hmm.. feels abit weird updating a bout something that happened 2 weeks ago. moreover i've been repeating these things to like everyone i meet.. so ya. a bit tiresome to repeat it again here..

so anyway. going to get 2 of my wisdom teeth plucked er.. extracted i mean. the lower left needs an operation.. the one on the upper left is just an simple extraction.. or if need be small operation as well.. hmm.. think i might wanna postpone it to the following week. probably gonna call them on monday to cancel.. say i got cough or fever or something.. 

supposed to go jamming last nite.. but too last minute so couldn't get a place.. actually it wasn't very last minute just that the person organising didn't take any action. haiz. irritating. worse still.. the singer last minute cannot book out so couldn't try that guy out. er.. haz say we very sway always cannot jam de.. i think its just lousy planning la. everytime we go jamming also abit last minute.. like the day before or something den start learning songs.. how to progress like tt.. haiz.. 

time to change my blog skin le.. dice says.. update the photos a bit. maybe i should add some links to other ppl's blogs.. coz seems like no1 really comes to visit or read this.. perhaps bcoz i dun realli update.. and perhaps it's like a dead end.. once u enter this place u just can't get anywhere unless u press the back button to get to the previous window.. haha..

(bye).. oh yeah. did i mentioned i brought back 2 bottles of apfelwein? precious. haha. if i bring it back to the international culinary and music festival in frankfurt next year i probably can get back about 2 euros per bottle just by returning the empty glass bottles.. hahahaha. yeah rite. next year at this time probably getting ready to move to melbourne for a year.. RMIT.. exempted 1.5 years off a 3 year course.. and going for the accelerated programme so shortened the whole thing to 1 year. woahs! dice says gonna miss me for 1 year.. already 28 days in europe without me can die le.. 1 year? think she must visit me semester-ly... or something. or put up a 24 hour webcam so she knows when i'm back from sch... think bout that later... ok. realli. tschus..

Hey everyone... I'm now at Changi Airport Gate C 25 Terminal 1 waiting to board the plane at 2355... haha. me and juliet were the first 2 ppl to enter the gates! haha.. everyone else was waiting outside.. oh well. anyway... FOr those who don't know.. i'll be going off to Europe for 10 days! Frankfurt, interlaken, lucerne, stuttgart,munich,vienna, and back to frankfurt again. Yeap. in that order.. highlight of the trip will most probably be the paragliding / hang gliding and the fact that's its my first time going to a european country on my own.. and with dice! ok.. and juliet and hanh phuc and hongyi..but nevertheless! it's still as exciting.. i hope. hahha..

orite.. i onli have another 6 mins on this airport's internet thingy.. see ya guys in 10 days. will be back on the 22nd June 2008.. yeap!

my last post was in october! haha...

im typing this on my new iMac that i just got from the it show yesterday. 2.4ghz dual core, 4 GB ram , 320 HDD.. not bad sial. $2687 onli..initially wanted to get a macbookpro at 3800+.. too ex so looked for the refurbished ones which was $400 cheaper onli.. was almost about to buy that when i saw an ad on the newpaper about imacs going at 2k+.. that's within budget. and fortunately for me, the specs are even higher den all the notebooks that i intended to get in the first place. AND. 3 years free warranty worth $303.

Shiok. 4gb of ram. i have the mighty mouse, or the nipple mouse as haz called it. haha. i can finally cont' to do all those videos. now the onli problem is that i have a lot of programmes still stuck in my old ibook. which is now most prob still stuck in vietnam customs.. haha. 

Orite. today going back earli. my battalions going outfield this week. so have to book in earli to help them pack stores. haiz. 7pm book in. wad the hell. sucks. good thing i got that letter from the medical board for request to revocate alr. that means i'm excused from going outfield like for life. haha. Pes B L1. ever heard of that before? hahaha. combat fit but onli indoor vocation. cool? haha

so i guess i'm counting on charlton to bring in more boston legal this week, i myself am bringing a season of simpsons. shouldn't be that bad coz i'm kinda booking out on wednesday night alr. Thurs going filming at singapore flyer. which reminds me, i gotta call up FEG, jerry and michelle to confirm the price and stuff. good thing i got my mac this weekend.

dear is going to be so busy with her work these coming weeks. oh dear. means less time for me during weekends or nights off i guess.. 

ok, i just spend like 8 hours infront of this 20" screen.. it's starting to glare a little. and i have to book in soon. means dinner like at 5. going to pick dice first now.. yup.

will update as soon as possible! haha. or the next time when dice reminds me that this website still exists. it's hard to keep doing this, coz u noe.. the weekends are so short. u noe wad i mean?
